The President of the Senate of the Republic of Haiti, Youri Latortue, will pay an official visit to Việt Nam from June 17 to 22 at the invitation of National Assembly Chairwoman, Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân.

HÀ NỘI — The President of the Senate of the Republic of Haiti, Youri Latortue, will pay an official visit to Việt Nam from June 17 to 22 at the invitation of National Assembly Chairwoman, Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân.

Latortue will be accompanied by his wife and a Senate delegation, the National Assembly’s Committee for External Relations said on Thursday.

Việt Nam and Haiti set up diplomatic ties in 1997 and Haiti opened an embassy in Hà Nội in December 2013. — VNS
